“She wore an itsy bitsy, teenie weenie, fresh and green lettuce bikini…”
Huntington Beach local Kim Somers laughs when she talks about her lettuce bikini photo shoot last year.
Yet what sounds preposterous makes a bit more sense when you see the attractive blond in all of her green glory, as part of the website lettuceladies.com, which is part of an effort by PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, to help promote a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle.

This Summer the hotspot for The Vegan Vixens was The Karma Lounge in sweet and beachy downtown Ventura, California!
This club and lounge has a modern vibe to it almost like a Hollywood club, yet makes you feel like you are at a friend’s party at the same time. The inside of the lounge has a long bar and a DJ that plays anything you want, while you can groove on the dance floor watching yourself in all of the funky mirrors. Outside is the stage, another bar and a fabulous V.I.P. area with beds, couches and sultry curtains for comfort and style.
Kimmy had so much fun with Sky dancing on the indoor stage to all of their rock, rap and pop requests, while Jenae and Sunny chatted it up with the cute bartender and watched the Olympics on the giant flat screen above the bar. Later the Vixens scoped out the outdoor stage for their future rock performances, which will be happening the last few months of 2008 and on.
The girls ended the night lounging in the V.I.P. area sipping soy vodka and posing for photos with fans. Fun Fun Fun!!!!
